Traded in my 95 RC/LB 4x4 for a 03 QC/SB 4x4.

Had over 200K miles on the 95. Only problems I had was the return fuel line rotting off and the throttle cable breaking. And recently the transmission lines located under the heat exchanger on the pass side rubbing together caused them to wear through and dump transmission fluid all over the place. Yanked out all that metal crap and replaced with some areoquip line and it was happy again. Went coast to coast and back lots of times and a couple runs up/down the ALCAN. Figure I had about 50K miles pulling my 10K travel trailer. It was stock except for a TST plate and TC lockup switch. Never ran anything special in it, Wally World oil is good enough for me. Couldn’t pass up what the dealer offered me for it.

Love the ride of the 03. Engine seems more happy to rev on up then the ole 12V. Doesn’t have the 1500-2000 rpm oomph though. Yet! So glad to see they moved the cup holders. I was tired out cleaning soda/coffee out of the radio. Love the QC, needed some extra room for the kids/grandkids. Wish the space under the back seats was a little deeper. Love the little space under the front seat though. If I get 200K miles out of this one I will be a happy camper

Welcome Lund! You wont believe how much that engine will change in the next few thousand miles. It just gets stronger, smoother and more quiet. The midrange will come back in spades, believe me!

Congrats on the new truck! I'll be picking mine up tomorrow. See Wendy's test at 2500rpm. My '95, '98, and 01. 5 were all great trucks. I hope this one is just as good and better!
