$30. 25 shipped. Excellent quality and fit. No road test yet, but I'm expecting reduced air flow. They claim not significant, so we'll see if it's noticeable. This should keep the AFE clean... . based on the kinda driving I do. I don't like cleaning and oiling these filters.

Just installed one of these last night. Today is first day using it. Need more time to see if its affecting air flow. When I called last week, they did not have this part number yet ( ?? ). So they custom made it for me to the dimensions I gave him.

Its yellow, has a top on it to cover the end as well as the sides, and is the water repellent one. Has an elastic band on the open end. Just slips over the top of the filter and the elastic snugs down over the end to hold it in place.

For those who have not seen these, this is not like the K&N foam pre-filter sock. This is nylon type material. Looks like a nylon stuff sack I use for hiking, sleeping bags, etc. However unlike these its much looser weave. Looks like they are trying to find the balance between a tight enough weave to catch large objects, bugs, leaves and all that, but still let air flow.

Looks fairly durable and nicely constructed. Seems like you could throw it in the washer and clean it real nice. Did not ask about this though, so dont quote me on that part.

Here's the one for the BHAF..

It will look the basically the same. I've had mine on for 3 weeks now and haven't noticed any reduced air flow. Then again my mods are mild copmpared to some.

RJ....

No, they're not the same.

The AFE Mega-Cannon is a "kit" with mounting bracket and an oiled, K&N type filter. The filter is very "buff"... . it has an open, filtered end for more flow. It's "supposed" to flow 820cfm. Very nice turbo note... . I really like this system. It replaced a K&N RE-0880 and pre-filter 25-0880.

You can see this at www.mrbobsdistributing.com

This is where I bought mine... . $199 shipped to me.

The BHAF is ~$40 according to what I've read. It is not an oiled filter. Everyone who has them seems very happy.

Hope this helps.....

RJ2....

Do a search on BHAF. Everything you'll want to know... . PN's, etc.

I think the answer to your question is both, plus some other brands.
