outerwears pre filter

anybody know where i can get an outerwears pre filter for an afe megacannon?i seen genos has them but it does not say if it is water repeling or not.

Any pre-filter can be made with the water repellent material, simply put a WR in front of the part number (for example WRQ15-6T). If you have an application you do not see here give us a call, if we do not have a part number we'll make one for you.

How do you clean one?

Mine is really dirty... what is the best method for cleaning them?

I just wash it with a little dishsoap, water, rinse clear water hang-up an dry. it usually only gets a little dusty

Outerwears, although the producer of the prefilters for the AFE, will not sell you one direct for the AFE. They do not want to step on any toes.

That's funny, I bought mine direct from outerwears a month ago. You don't need to tell them it's an AFE, just call them with the dimensions.



I've heard you can wash them by throwing them in with your laundry. I haven't had to clean mine yet.

When I spoke with Outerwears they would not sell me one as soon as they determined it was an AFE filter. I guess I should have tried to hide that fact a little better. A lesson learned



As far as washing the, I don't think you are supposed to throw it in the laundry. I think they mentioned the laundy was a little too agressive. Soapy water in the sink, rinse, and let it air dry worked well for me.
