Dana/Spicer 5 speed swap question

For Sale anyone interested?

My buddy MADDOG hit 80 psi today on a test drive with his 12v twice turboed Cummins powered "95 cc 4x4 Ford. I think he is going to have more then enough to cover his old performance level with the PSD as well as the competition still runnin' PSD power. We plan to install some race injectors to see where the motor is regarding power. He is really impressed in the performance. BIG TORQUE! He said he did a 45 to 100 mph run and the impression of his butt is still visible in the drivers seat : )

The Green Monster

The "Green Monster" gets stronger and stronger. Today during a good run the "Monster That Ate Las Vegas" hit 86 psi on the highway. That's with just the 370 injectors. This is a large turbo system, bigger then even the high performance systems some of the other puller 12v's use I'm told. It has the large intake that I run, along with a large custom intercooler to get the air to the head where it belongs. This thing's going to be a force to reckon withOo. Oo.

Right!

That pretty chromed engine has busted two trannys in the last week. Stick that in your stack and smoke it:)

One day, VERY soon, the head will pop off that sucker and head into orbit - and the Russians or Chinese will figure we are starting WWIII... :-laf :-laf :-laf

Nope

After some initial stud stretching "Dog retorqued it and it's been fine since. It's got an O-ring system which I worked on last year at May Madness. The head gasket seal has been very stable up to 87 psi boost.

This rig has crushed everything it's come up against on the highway. Oo. Oo. :-laf :-laf

Trannys?

Like a fish to bait--

"What transmission was that, Ford, Dodge, or Allison?"

You got a heatseeker on your tail Sled. This rig is producing power that rips stuff in half:eek: Not at shift points, just accelerating:--)

Hmmm, ... not enough fuel eh? :p

Well, I'm afraid not enough transmission, like someone closely resembling myself predicted.

I believe that is proof positive, that no PSD has went over 500hp.

Not even the Pennsylvanian one.

I Agree, To A Degree

I started to think about this and what occured to me is it may not be the horsepower, cause the dyno clocked him at a nipple over 600 with the racing air and bbq fuel.

I'm saying its more likely the torque he's producing now runnin' straight fuel. From my experience, the racing air and the 'pane don't produce any wheres near the torque that #2 does. And torque is what is twisting that stuff in half.

Add that to the fact that we are talking about a six instead of an eight, and you have upped the torque difference even more. If you attend a dyno event, pay attention to the difference in torque numbers between the two different brands. Given two trucks with the same horsepower, the torque numbers will significantly favor the six cylinder.

So even though he had 600 horses before, he only had a bit over 900 ft lbs of torque. Now he's runnin' 550 horses on #2 in a six cylinder netting close to 1200 ft lbs of torque.

SNAP... CRACKLE... POP!!! :{
