Over boost code/fan clutch code

well, i got an oer boost code the other day. no biggie, its gone, dealer ran the scanner on it, its gone gone now. has not happened since... .



truck is a stock 04. 5 2wd 6 shooter short box... .



at what boost does the computer trip the over boost warning?



i also got a fan clutch code at the same time.

I realize you say your truck is stock, but does it have a turbo timer on it, these have been known to cause the codes you are experienceing.

nope, the only mod i have under the hood is the jake, i dont even have the gauges listed in my sgi installed yet... . , i know i know been slacking... .



the jake was dealer installed also...

do you know what the actual codes were that tripped? P????'s





i know the cooling fan one is P0483 as i had that too at the same time i popped a P0107. they changed the fan clutch i believe and a new intake air temp sensor [the one before the turbo] that is what dodge calls the map sensor

I got the fan code, needs a fan that I have to install later, not cheap. mine leaked so I knew before hand. I got the boost code but I am not stock.

I got the fan clutch code with only 50,000+- miles on my truck and they said it was not covered under warranty and it was $400+-.



I said I would trade it in for a ford before I spent that much for a electronic clutch fan.



Ive never had a problem with it.
