over boost code

my engine has thown some codes recently. P2146 and p0234. Also the engine runs a little rough at idle. I removed the Edge juice entirely. I has been off three months and still runs rough at idle, smooths out higher rpm.

The p2146 has gone away on the display but the p0234 remains.

I have a boost elbo on the waste gate, but it has been on at least two years and only recently have I gotton the over boost code.



How much boost will it take to cause the over boost? I sometime see boost at 30 to 34 psi. Could the Edge Juice have caused any problems? The highest I have has it set is level three.



I am concerned about the rough idle,because there is also more engine noise at idle. It seems to have a louder knocking sound. Could I have an injector problem, also would the fuel control actuator have an effect on the rough idle?

Since you took the edge off and left the boost elbow on that is causing the overboost code. I would pull of the elbow or install a bost fooler.



As far as the injector knock and rough idle I would replace the FCA.

Thanks for the reply. Can you tell me what the function of the fca is, doest it have something to do with the fuel injection timing?
