When does the over boosst code come on. I loaned my DDTT . Running DD2's, BHAF, and 4'' exhaust with no boost elbow I have seen 22#'s boost . I let off . Should the waste gate limit boost ? Shoul I be conserned?
I believe the over boost code is set at 21 PSI. I am sure someone would correct me if I am wrong. I would add a boost module of some sort and a boost elbow so you would not have to worry about setting the over boost code.
I ran the truck once with out boost module but with the elbow in place and hit a max of 26 lbs several times. I then told the dealer what I had done and asked them to clear any code i set while they had the truck. When I picked up the truck they said they had checked and there werent any codes stored. So I dont know what it takes to set a overboost code.
No it doesn't trip the light. Cycle your key On, Off, On, Off, On... . leaving it in the on position and watch your odometer. I'm will to bet you'll see P-1693 pop up.
