I am wondering if its possible to over boost a certain amount of HP. I was running my waistgate locked for a while. Now I am running it at 27psi max and the waistgate diaphram screw not so tight. My truck seems to have more power and run smoother, and lower EGT's. My top boost that my clutch would hold was 32-34, getting a new clutch soon, but that was with the waistgate tight and the boost input shut and my EGT's would run hot if I pushed them. My 10 plate is a little back from stock spot.

I am running 47psi out of my hx35 and its way over boosted, drive pressures and EGTs through the roof! They are efficient to about 36psi. Then you better start looking at a bigger one.

more boost doesnt always equal more power. You reach a point when the air discharged from the turbo is so hot, your density ratio goes down drastically.

I run a SuperB, and I like it. I just wonder if its possible to run to lean, with to much boost. My plate setting seems to like a little lower boost.

I dont really think you could run it to lean.

maybe you have a boost leak occuring at a certain psi? so you are actually seeing less density at higher boost values than at lower because the leak opens up?? who knows... .

If you look for a map for an S300g, thats all your super b is. then you can pretty much tell if you are using to much and creating heat, or whats going on.
