My over head computer sometimes reads CCD. I have been to two different shops about this problem and no one can explain it. I have a 2000 cummins loaded. The only way to get rid of it is to turn off key a couple times!!! Thanks Walt -- email address removed --

The CCD translates "Chrysler Collision Detection data bus". There is a self diagnostic procedure for the console which is initiated by holding the Step button and the US/Metric down simontaniously and turning the ign. switch on. Hold the buttons until the unit goes into test mode. Book says DRB scan tool is needed. A competent shop should have this information. I have no idea what all this means. bg

I moved this thread over here and changed the title a bit in hopes of more people coming forward with information.

Walt,

I can't tell from your post, but if you have an Edge box, that may be causing you a problem. My Edge Comp caused the CCD thing, but was remedied by contacting Edge for a warranty replacement.

Not sure if that helps.

Did it always do this?

Check your connections, the one in the back of the fuse box might be lose. There is also a connection in the overhead console.
