Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) over/under for 5 speed transmission

I have a odd question and could use some help. I drive a 97 12v 3500, 5 speed with 4:10 rear end. I have a 86 GMC 2 1/2 ton at my disposal, in the gmc i have over/under behind that 5 speed. My question is will that work behind the transmission in my dodge? (yes i know that if it would i would need to shorten my driveshaft. )
