I get occasional overboost code 0234 after about 25,000 miles with an Edge ez and 275 injectors in a 2001. 5 High output. The truck runs great, the boost elbow is installed. Any thoughts? Boost pushed to 28 lbs without a speeding ticket.

EZ Hooked up??

Did you ever run with the EZ unplugged and left the elbow in w/275's. I know others that can run 32 psi and set no codes with your same setup. The EZ is supposed to incorporate the boost fooler.

Thanks Mr Fixit, The EZ has never been disconec ted since it was put in. The folks at ez will send me a reworked box, but the truck runs so well I hate to fool with it.

The guys at Edge will take care of you... when you hook the box back up be sure to use some dielectric grease. It will help maintain the connection. It sounds like maybe you just had an intermitiant connection a couple of times.

Had the same problem a while back and fixed it with some dielectric grease, as mentioned. The connection got dry and the map sensor lost contact at some time. Try the grease and the truck will reset itself in about 5 or so clean starts. With the overboost code intact it will be in limp mode.

Thanks for the input. I disconnected the EZ, used battery cleaner and then dielectric grease. I took her for a ride from Truckee west up Donner Grade. No fault code, less smoke and 34 lb of boost and climbing, backed off because of egt readings. I think the problem is solved. Thanks.
