I have been getting overboost codes with my Edge Comp and earlier with my EZ. See my signature for truck info.

I am finally getting around to upgrading the turbo to a small set of twins and exhaust, and was wondering if anyone has tried a mechanical boost fooler.

I am pondering running a hose from the MAP port into a air pressure regulator, then into the MAP sensor. This should keep the max boost pressure it ever sees at what ever I set it at.

Is this going to cause issues with the Edge Comp as far as fueling and timing? I know the truck ECM will defuel when it sees the overboost codes, but does the Edge rely on accurate boost info for what it does?

I did that on a Pstroke Ford and it worked great... I set a small air pressure regulator at 15 psi on 160 psi shop air, then installed it between the manifold and the MAP sensor. worked great, no more defueling issues when under high loads like hills, pulling trailers etc. I'm thinking of doing something like that on my 98 DC... It shouldnt cause any issues with your fueling / timing box... it doesnt care how much boost you have. You can do essentially the same thing with a boost fooler from Quadzilla which does it electronically. It is probably cheaper and way more fool proof, to do the regulator, which you can get from any place that sells air compressors or automotive paint supplies.
