2002 2wd new trans and new pcm . The trans shop said needs a new pcm well there is 900 dollars pcm arrives ,didn't fix the overdrive issue witch is no overdrive unless they make the scan tool pro-form that task . There telling me that there not sure what the issue is besides the engine is not telling the computer that it's warm enough to go into OD.

This truck is OBDII. Get a scanner that’s able to read all sensors and look at your temps. My 1 gen wouldn’t get into OD until it hit a certain temp. My ride home from work was from zero to hiway speed upon startup, and on the most frigid days, it would hold 3rd for about a mile and a half, probably until it saw a certain temp, which obviously was pretty low.
Good luck in your diagnosis.
