Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Overdrive not working

I am looking at a 97 on line and the owner says the OD doesn't work. On our 93 when the TPS goes bad it wont shift into OD. Has anyone seen this on a 97 or have any other ideas?

Same problem on a 97, TPS could be flaky. With the 47RE you have other added issues, gove solenoid and transducer can cause the same problem. Could also be a bad solenoid or harness on the VB. Worst case, it smoked the OD clutches.



Start by adding a mystery switch and see if the mechanical portion and the solenoid will function. Then do some pressure test to see where everything is at.

Thanks anyways but the seller didnt want to talk about the trans so I passed on it.
