I dont know about rebuilding one. You could stretch the spring to hold off buying one for a while. It's a temporary fix.

The only thing bad about the cheap ones is you can't do anything to them(take them apart) if your not running the pressure you want to run you can shim(a regular one) a little with the shims from an old one, so basically buy a new one and keep the old one for the parts. You can take it off and pull it apart so you can see the ball and seat, if there fine then it's probably the spring or not shimmed enough... ..... easy fix!

I don't know about the temporary business. I stretched mine over 100K miles ago and it still works fine. Gotta be careful and just stretch it a little. If it's stretched too much that will wreck the spring.
