Since installing fass lift pump I have went through two overflow valves. Just a coincidence or can't stand the extra pressure? About 19 lbs. psi. at idle & 16 lbs. psi. on a pull.
Any thoughts on this? Thank you DSlover
PS. do they make a stronger valve to compensate for the extra pressure?

1998.5, 24 valve

I have a FDRP that puts out those same numbers, been on almost three years and no trouble. Don't think your pressure is the problem.

Your pressure is perfectly fine, and there is no high pressure limit on the VP.
Do NOT mess with the overflow valve either as its not doing what you're thinking. Yes it regulates pressure but not solely on the low pressure chamber.

Yes, I am old but I did look it up

Correct, the overflow valve is fully opened between 14-16 psi. But that still has nothing to do with the fact that the overflow valve is not directly related to the supply pressures by the fuel pump.

As the radial plunger is pushed outwards towards the cam ring by the feed pump’s fuel delivery pressure, and when excess fuel is returned from the distributor head, fuel return exceeds a specified pressure and the fuel returns to the fuel tank through the overflow valve. So the overflow valve maintains the returned fuel at a specified pressure, and also works to cool the injection pump body. NOT something to be messed with.....
