Overflow valve

Will a bad overflow valve cause the pump to lose prime??

I changed the supply and return line hoses less than 2500 miles ago and the truck was starting fine - no problems. Now I'm back to a hard starting problem. Fuel filter was also changed at the same time.

If I manually prime it with the lift pump button it starts right up.

Over flow valve is the next step, Piers has the best deal. You may want to check the hose clamps on your hoses for tightness first. Also look for leakage from the lift pump, fuel heater and filter.
