Couldn't think of the correct name for the thing. But anyway, what would make the odo part not work? Everything else (the mpg, temp, ET, compass) works. The odo just stays on 00 all the time.

You get temp and direction? My temp isn't even right (off by 8* or so), and that's *when* it works... most of the time the display reads "CCD" in which case it gets "stepped" to off.

I love my truck, but I HATE that thing.

check the two connectors under the dash the trip computer connects too. One will be in the bottom left of the fuse block (looking at it from under the dash, the second one goes to a connector close to the big white thingy covering bulkhead connector. You might need a new temp sender its about 16. 00.

I would suspect the second one.

Does your odometer on the dash work?

They should both read the same, again I would check all connections, maybe do a clear, check your owners manual it will tell you how to calibrate compass and such.

My temp part quit working soon after I bought the truck. I just leave it on the average mpg now. It makes people look twice when they see it reading 25+ depending on whatever mood it's in. The truck actually gets 20+ most of the time checking it by hand but if they want to think the gage is correct I'm not going to correct them. :D

I wouldn't put it past this truck! Sometimes vehicles have minds of their own, but that's a different thread altogether.
