My overhead console on my truck is acting goofy the compass and temp are stuck on west and 107 degrees and my DTE is going up then down then back up any thoughts how could I reset

Take the positives or negatives off both batteries for about 1/2hr... that should reset any saved settings internally... As for a hardware reset... hmmm. . I think theres a way to do a gauge test thru the odometer, but duno if that would affect the overhead... (I dont have a 24v, so I am ignorant of these quirks. . heh) If you dont want to remove your battery posts, check in the primary fuse box (next to drivers side battery) and remove that bolt, and take off battery feed for internals. .

good luck...

I had a problem with mine once so I reached up and held in both buttons for a few seconds, the trip computer reset and have had no problem since. Not sure what was wrong or this is the actual way to correct it but it worked. later.

All you did was a "Reset". Glad it worked though. :)

In the owners manual (I guess thats what I was looking at last night) it tells you to hold the US/M button in for 6 seconds and the letters cal (short for calibrate) should come on then you are supposed to drive the truck in circles a few times on level ground and at least 50ft. away from powerlines, overhead wires, and steel buildings. I know it sounds ridiculous but thats what it says wish I had the book here with me I would have just told you what page to go to.

That is cause of the compass (the metal building, and wires stuff)

The one in my truck also acts wierd a lot lately. I think it's a faulty ground or something of that nature. I'm having problems on the whole circuit containing the overhead console.
