2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Overhead console glasses holder broke...any help?

(I don't think I've ever posted here before...been TDR member since 05, got set up like totally new member) Anyways up near the mileage/trip meter thing there is a little tab that opens what I think Dodge called "eye glass holder" . Mine broke. Junks yards are almost always miss where I live. Who can I get another one from. Even if I have to get the entire overhead console. BY the way...how do they come out?

That was a fairly common problem. I suspect they have been discontinued long ago. I know when I replaced mine they were, well for a dealer item reasonably priced iirc $25.00. Aside from the salvage yards you might try someplace like LMC truck. Perhaps stop by a body shop see if they have a source/ideas on where you might be able to get one. Before I got one from the dealer I tried velcro and it worked fine until it got hot in the summer then the sticky tape on the velcro just quit working it would just pull off. So off to the dealer I went. As far as getting it out it is a bit tricky, not hard just tricky and I am sorry i do not remember how it comes out but I think there is tab on each little arm that you have to depress and then you can pull it out. Hopefully someone who still has a manual will chime in and give you better instructions than that.

I got a brand new one thru the dealer just last year. i think they are still available. He had to order it. I had the dealer install it too. And, he did it for free (imagine that)
