2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Overhead Console question

I have the overhead computer console with the following buttons.



comp\temp and us\metric.



The temp works, the us\metric work but when I try and go to comp the display goes blank.



Can anyone tell me if this is correct or what it should be reading.

Should be giving you a compass display

When you press the COMP/TEMP button, the display will either display the COMPass heading and Temperature OR it will go blank.



Now, my 1999 and 2003 have the trip COMPuter, but the 1996 is only a COMPass/TEMP display. I'll admit it took me some time to figure it out that it wasn't broken. Mike

Cool, thought it was broke but guess not.

On my '97, both the compass & outside temp read at the same time. The comp/temp buttom, according to the owners manual (pg. 51) is for re-setting the compass if it is not reading.
