2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Overhead console sunglass holder

Does anyone know where I can get one of these? I need the door for the console as the clip on mine broke off and the door will not stay shut. I found one on e-bay - new for $23 plus $7 shipping. Can I get one of these someplace else cheaper? I have looked long and hard for a used one and no luck.

If you drill a hole in the plastic where the clip broke off you can thread in a pan head screw as a friction device to hold it closed. Mine broke like 03 and I fixed it like this then bought a new one from the dealer. Still have the new, but keeping it. Not sure if still available but dealer is worth a shot.

if you still have the piece that broke off you can glue it back on. Just use a piece of tubing off of a spray can and glue that in the u-shaped area. I did this a couple of years ago and still going strong.

Mine broke too and I bought one for about 20 bucks and changed it. There are instructions on this site on how to change it. Be carefull with the tabs that hold the overhead console... I've had to put a sheet metal screw in mine because i've taken mine off a few times and my tabs have broken off. (be extra carefull if you have to do that... . don't drill a hole in the roof. There's metal behind it you can put a short screw in without "going thru the roof"!)



I've looked for my invoice for where I got mine but I couldn't find it but the dealer wanted a lot more so 23 bucks is in the ballpark for what i paid... as I recall my was "new in the box" when i got it.
