2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission overhead ?s

ok so my overhead counsel when set on compas shows the cardinal direction and dergees of direction to me this is useless to me. what im wondering is can i somehow change that to tempurature(sp?) degrees?

On my 01 the compass/degree setting is the default when the truck is started up. To change to the compass/compass in degree format I must hold the US/M button down for 10 seconds, so you might try and see if it will toggle back. If you have a '99 manual it would have this info for your truck

i looked in the owners manual and did find anything ill go try that though
