Probably not. There are two harnesses required; one that runs up from the dash area, and another short one that ties into the overhead computer. My '99 didn't have the cables.
If a fueling box is added to the truck, the MPG readings become inaccurate, leaving the thing as a compass/temperature/distance readout. If I can't figure out where the truck is headed, I'm in trouble! Outside air temperature would be nice (Ice!), but the one in my minivan is so inaccurate that you'd think you were in an oven, not Michigan.
As you can tell, I'm not in a big rush to install one. If a computer showed up for cheap, I'd probably do it. I have the cables. New trip computers are expen$ive, but show up on ebay from time to time.
