Help, after installing Banks Power Pack TLC System, with Banks brake, Im overheating when pulling long grades, towing 10k trailer. I have checked radiator, replaced fan clutch{and I still dont here it clutch in}added Water Weter from Red Line. Dont have any thing stuck in rad fins ,running Amsoil in everything. 99 Ram QCab, 4x4, auto {shift kit and heavy duty converter}BF Goodrich A/T LT 265/75 16. Stock gearing 3. 56. Hopefull?

Have you changed the thermostat? They're a known problem. The fact that your fan clutch isn't kicking in may indicate that not enough hot coolant is going into the radiator to trigger the fan clutch - a stuck thermostat can cause this.



Edit - just noticed that you have an automatic. If you're pulling these long grades with the torque converter unlocked, all that transmission fluid heat generated by fluid shear in the torque converter isn't helping the situation.
