I put moog kickouts on my truck, one of the braces goes between the front rear overload spring bumper stop and the frame, then among other things I had a shop about an hour away re-arch my rear springs and replace the spring bushings

this weekend I got a load of hay with my gooseneck and this was the 1st time I had pulled heavy since the rear spring work, the front of the over load spring now hits the 3 bolt heads on the overload spring bumper stop on the passenger side only. the drivers side is fine

looking closer it appears the over spring is slightly at an angle as it sits on top of the springs on the passenger side (farther away from the frame at the rear of the sping pack and closer to the frame at the front)

my thought is to put my handyman jack in the receiver hitch and get most of the weight off the back of the truck, slight loosen the u-bolts, hit the rear of the over spring to get it in vertical alignment with the rest of the springs and then retighten the u-bolts

does this seem sensible and how I should do it? it'd be a real pain to take it back to the shop that didn't align them the 1st time plus I'll probably never use him again

thanks for input and suggestions

thanks B. G. , I actually thought I might get a little weight off the back end and try the old hammer 1st, it's probably not off 1/4 of an inch, I'd have tried it in Kansas but I had 24,000 lbs of trailer and hay on the rear and no hammer

Just when you needed 'em the most, Dorothy and Toto were nowhere to be found. Well, since you aren't in Kansas any more, maybe they'll show up.

If you can move the springs without loosening the bolts, consider adding another 1/4 turn to the burrs to get 'em good and tight.
