Who Is Using Twins?????

As I plan a trip to Florida in late March with the family, I'm looking for good spots to stop. I don't want to pull in somewhere only to find the truck & trailer up on blocks in the morning  Not opposed to a rest area (I'm sure theres a bunch) as this is only for the night, but ideally would like a campground that is not too far off the interstate. We have decided on stopping (either on the way south or north) at South of the Border for the tourist thing. I think 7-8 hours a day will be drive time, so my first stop in Florida is to Jensen Beach, which is probably a long 2 day haul from Virginia. From there we'll head to Tampa (Busch Gardens) then leave from there to head home. Any suggestions? Last trip we made to Florida, I didn't have the 5er and did the hotel thing :( I've done trip planner which is a big help, but looking for input from those in the know :D Thanks in advance.

I have always had good luck with the SC and GA rest areas, they are big, well lit, and I feel safe in them. Some are also pretty far off the interstate so you don't hear it all night long..... but that can't always be said for the semi next to you all night.

Another good option is the newer truck stops (Flying J or Pilot) that have RV parking out front away from the trucks. I prefer them to a rest area.

Stop, fill up, park, sleep, wakeup get a cup a coffee and get on the road.

We enjoyed the KOA at Fayetteville, NC also Blythe Island Park campground near Brunswick, GA. It's a bit off I-95 but nice. They lock up at night, so you should get there by dinner time. Brunswick also has a Flying J at the exit.
