Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Oversized replacement fuel tanks & calibration

Has anyone installed an oversized replacement fuel tank? If so, when you installed the tank did you have to reprogram the overhead fuel mileage calculator to read the increase in fuel storage? This would be necessary for it to be able to properly display DTE and Average MPG. I could be incorrect about this but I have done this to a Ford F-350 with the 7. 3 Powerstroke. It was a necessary procedure using the NG Scan tool. Thanks for your help!!
