Please let DC know if your message center/overhead compass/temp has lighting too dim to read... . Before you suggest, I DO have the switch set for the brightest lighting. This is my 4th Dodge and they have all been plenty bright. My 2005 is twice as bright as my new 2008. I can not read the temp/compass and if I ever get an engine message or exhaust message, I may be screwed because you can only read it if you stop and put both hands over the screen and even then it is dim. Seems to have way too many pixels on the screen so they do not light up adequately. Please let DC know if you have this problem and if you do NOT have this problem, why the heck don't you? Are there different suppliers for this console? Love mt truck, hate the overhead console. Have yet to drive at night so do not know if the dash lighting or the over head will be bright enough. I drive with my parking lights and fog lamps on and dash set to max brightness during the day time. Overhead still too dim. H E L P

We have an 08 5500... I agree with superdave... if we put any of our other trucks next to the 08, the 08 is dimmer... . if there is a sheet of paper on the dash and there is a reflection, than the display is washed out.....

It makes no difference whether I have sunglasses, polarized or whatever or none, the light is dim. It seems to have too many pixels. I can read the odometer and the dash but NOT the overhead. . DC screwed the pooch. It is that simple. Seems to me ALL the car and truck manufacturers always make changes just for the sake of changes. Not always for a legitimate reason. They send out all these "surveys" but pay no attention to them. When you send the company an e-mail, it is the same as sending to your U. S. Senator, you simply get a form letter back. Same old BS no matter who the maufacturer is. And they wonder why their business is so bad.
