Funny you should mention this. They are supposed to come with the truck!
When I picked up my truck it came with a DVD and an Owners Manual, 80 pages. The Owner Manual covered the 1500 as well as the HD's but didn't say anything about the diesel.
When I was changing my oil for the first time I could not find any section on how to properly check the oil level.
I called the Publications number in the back of the Owners Manual, 800-992-1997 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting**************800-992-1997******end_of_the_skype_highlighting, and asked to order a factory service manual. The nice lady told me they were not out yet and that was good since I would void my warranty by working on the truck myself!!! I told here she was full of **** except I was not that polite! After I peeled myself off the ceiling I explained that the owners manual did not even explain how to check the oil and Chrysler was going to be liable for any engine damage for improper oil level.
She then transferred me to another lady and I explained my dilemma. She pulled out her manuals and told me the page number for the oil check procedure. That is when I realized I had the wrong manual.
She sent me BOTH the Owners Manual, 509 pages, and the Diesel Engine Supplement, 140 pages for free and apologized for the confused dealer.
So the answer to your question is call the number above and tell them that you too did not get the manual with your truck.
