Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Owners manual question/ manual trans

I just got my new owners manual and it shows a service interval for the manual transmission I see the manual is a second edition so have they updated the information in the new manual ? Or did the originals show a interval for the manual I know the oem manual that came with the 98 doesn't show anything for service interval

It must be an update- I have both the Owner's Manuals for the 1998 12 and 24 valve trucks and neither references a service interval for the NV-4500. They both state "This transmission is filled with 75W-90 Synthetic, API grade GL4 gear lubricant and does not require periodic changing."

My 2nd gen also said no service was required but I always tried to change it at least every 30000 miles.

Also I noticed the reference to jet fuel was removed from the new manual ?

Don't remember who did the write up, but in a previous issue, they discussed using Red Line oil. https://www.redlineoil.com/product.aspx?pid=140 on the nv4500. I've mainly used Royal Purple on my '95 (232,000 miles) with the original untouched NV4500 but plan to use the Redline when I change it.
