To all
I am having O2 sensor fault. Right now Dealer says O2 sensors are backordered across the country. Not trying to fix myself since this happened less then 12 months ago and the dealer fixed it initially and now it is covered under warranty. I have tried aftermarket O2 sensor and it did not fix.

The question is will the system still allow a regeneration with the code displayed? I need to go on 2000 mile trip and don't want to get stuck with full filter and now way to run regen with a O2 fault. How do you know regen is due or happening? Never had any indication that it was happening

Bye the way for others with this fault I did find a corroded terminal on the one of the batteries resulted in the same fault. This time around terminals are fine and clean. Both batteries at full voltage. I don't believe it is the sensor but electrical problem with the O2/Heater circuit.

vehicle: 2009 Dodge, 167000 miles (all mine)

thanks

On my 2012 I have an had O2 sensor fault for the past 6 months. I also unplugged the EGR valve shortly after. I have had no issues with regen or anything else and actually get much better mileage than I used to. I have rechecked the codes several times but no new codes have appeared. Without a OBD2 monitor you won't know when it regens. I believe the filter uses pressure sensors to monitor how full it is.
