P-0148 code will not erase

I have a 04 and the other day the fill (lift) pump left me stranded on the side of the road. I replaced the pump and filter started the truck and all was fine. To day I got my scan tool out and cleared the code, The problem is that the code will not clear, scan tool tells me it successfully erased the code but if I run a second scan it is still there and the check engine light is still on. Any body have thoughts on my isue?

You can not erase a code as long as the fault is active-diagnose the dtc

On mine the CEL will go off after 9 starts without the condition recurring - not sure if the 05 is the same but you may find it just goes off in a couple of days if thats the case.

Thanks Pririe Dog, You got me thinking that it just may be a stiking isue going on, so I gave the "FCA" several light taps and started the truck up and no MIL light and then I could erase the falt code, Be safe
