I have a couple of buddies who are running the BDDL CL and lately they have been giving trouble. Both are giving P0602 codes. One is also giving P0234 and P0299. Engine Light came one and no power. We cleared the codes but the 0602 keeps showing up in both trucks. Both of these truck lost their programming and we had to unload and reload the programs. Any ideas?

Nope, the smarty didn't fix it. But I bet Marco can. Both trucks will be getting a smarty when we get them fixed. Actually every customer I have with a 3rd gen will be getting a smarty so far. They all love.

so is marco taking your ecm and fixing it?

Haven't talked to Marco or Bob yet. I'm waiting on a call from Bullydog to see what they plan to do about it first. Nothing I'm sure. I swear, the people you talk to at Bullydog have 0 knowledge about diesels. How did they ever design a chip? I don't understand.

Problem is they will not let you talk to the ones that know what they are doing. They just give you the run around of talking to all the marketing guys. If you can push thru them and get to the ones that actually know what they are doing, the can usually help. All I can say though is "good luck getting one of the good ones. " I am also glad I never had any problems with mine (fingers crossed).

what was the outcome of the 0602 code. Mine keeps popping up and i just keep clearing it with the bdl. i dont even run the bdl anymore.

The P0602 is a by-product of programming your ECM with any of the various programmers out there and is normal. They can all do that when conditions are right. The first programmer did it (BDDL) and the latest programmer does it (Smarty).

The other codes were definitely issues that needed to be taken care of. What was the outcome?

Correct when the ECM is returned to stock the code should be gone. Just a byproduct of programmers. Mine does it as well but only when I have a performance program.

Marco is working on elimanating the P0602 Code and it will be history soon

its only a nuisance code that dose not effect performance.
