Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) P 1763

Im getting a P1763 code. (governer pressure sensor voltage issue)



Im trying to find out, is it common for these to go out , or it there typically other issues? (voltage TO the govener pressure sensor)



ANY help would be appreciated.

My truck dose the same thing from time to time. it throws a code and shifts weird and then goes away after a week of using the tc lockup switch when i wanted od. idk man bay the sensor is shot.

Thanks Andy! This issue now has a twist... . Last night truck wouldnt start. Tried to bump the pump... . nada. Got under and checked for loose connections, checked fuse... . seemed ok. Tried to start again dead. One more time. . it fired. Ran like crap for a few seconds,(RPM reading "0" )ck engine light came on... . P1763. :-{} strange

weird... ... . well at least your truck moves. mine when you throw it in reverse it dies adn the only way to move it is a transmission drop... ... . YIKES! and when you get it into drive and bring it toa stopsing it loads up to %100 and smokes like im staging and there is no throtle response till like 30mph. it rolls out on its own and then you get the throtle back when it says so.
