I finally got the notice to call a dealer for an appointment to take care of this recall. I got the first notice the first week of Dec. 2014 saying that there is a recall on the fuel heater connector and possibly the fuel heater assy. itself as it can catch fire. The first notice said that parts were not available and that they would notify me when they were. Well, after 5 months, I got the notice. I guess that it was not intuitively obvious to those in the corporate palace that this just may be the issue that breaks them. Anyway, I called today, (not the dealer in the other post), and was given an appointment for the following week. I was told that they had only one kit left of the allotment that Ram had sent them and they would replace the connectors and inspect the fuel heater for a leak and if it is leaking it would also be replaced. Do any of you guys have the details on this? It raises a question with me as my truck had to have a connector replacement for the number one O2 sensor issue as well. I wonder what other connectors are going to raise their ugly heads?

Got my notice in yesterday's mail as well. Second recall that has taken MONTHS to move forward. Now the wait for the parts to parse out to the dealers!

be careful with this. If the dealer finds your fuel assembly or whatever it is they have to check during this recall to be leaking also they can refuse to give you your truck back for safety reasons until that part comes in and from what I was warned by my dealer the parts are a long way out for that. I'd make sure your dealer has the replacement just in case before you give your truck to them.

Thanks for the heads up tuffguy707, I'll be sure that they have all the parts before they take the truck back. Sure is curious that they knew of this, sent recall notices about a safety issue, took them 5 months to send another notice to call the dealer for the fix and not have the all of parts for the fix. As in the original post, the dealer has been really busy with this fix and only has one kit left of the allotment Ram sent him, and I got it. The service manager would not tell me how many kits the dealership got initially. No wonder there's no confidence in the auto industry these days, and they are in business!!!!!

No problem. I just would hate to see someone take there truck in for a recall only to be told they can not have their truck back for another issue and be without it for possibly a very long time.
Yes I agree with you as i think it is a joke. My dealer called me today to tell me they did not have the part nor did they see it coming in anytime soon. They told me they will call me when it comes in and then i can make the appointment to get the recall done. They told me they will make sure they have the recall part along with any other part related to that so i am not without my truck for a very long time. I also told them there where a few nit picky warranty things I wanted taken care of while it was in and they said they would have the parts for that just in case also. Oh and I was also promised a loaner truck as with a recall I am required to get one. Just make sure you are given one also.
