P pump in first gen

I know there are some on here who have done this. I know drives mopars did, but i understand he hasnt been on the computer as of late. For anyone who has done it, what issues did you run in too. Did you have clearance issues between the master cylinder and the back of the p pump. it looks like it will be a snug fit. Also, what did you do about the intercooler lines. they appear to be different sizes. The motor is a 96 180 hp with low miles. We are going to put it in my dads 92 4x4 extended cab which has the factory intercooler. The truck already has an nv4500 in it and runs really well, but i know we can get a lot more out of the ol p pump. We want a sleeper

As far as i know you will need to use fan shrowd from 2 gen as it is off set compared to 1st gen. Good luck

Thanks for the tip on orangevale diesel, i might pick their brains. The parts have already started flying, its about to get ugly. Hmmm wonder if i can talk dad into puttin twins, cam, oringing, man it would be cool to kick some sled pullin butts with a first gen. we would have to keep the hood locked of course

We're finishing up with a '96 in a '90. There is about a 1/2" between the pump and the master cylinder. As far as the rest goes we got all the goodies from a '93 to complete the install.

drop it right in there, but take the head off and get it o-ringed first. then put the heavy valve springs and a gov kit in the pump. it will make drivability a lot better. i have no fan shroud and mine was a non intercooled. clearance between the master cylinder looks like it will hit with the motor leaning back with no transmission on it but all lines up nice when fully bolted up. my 95 intercooler is turned upside down and i cut two holes in the front support for the tubes. fits right around the non inter radiator but i dunno about the 92 intercooler. can e mail some pictures if requested.
