Has anyone ever had p-pump smaller than a 215 put on a stand and calibrated and not done B&P's? If so, was there much of a difference? Was wondering if it would be worth the time and money.

With no plate, GSK, and LC Delivery valves, they were able to get over 500 cc's out of a 160. . Then I went with a different setup. .

Did you just have it put on a stand and calibrated or (tuned)? There was no barrels and plungers or cam work done? I am running all the bolt on goodies in my pump now, but will be building a set of twins soon and was needing more fuel. Wondered if it would be worth trying? thanks Lance

98slushbox,

I just did my pump. :p

It put out almost 400 before they turned it up to 452. That was the max for my pump they said. I have 191 dv's, 3,000 springs. Oo.

The smoke it makes & temps to go along tells me I'm getting much more fuel now.

The proof will be at the Dyno. :--)

I sent my 911 pump in to Industrial Injection about a month or two ago to have it tweaked. They got almost 90cc's more out of it @ 3000 rpm. I notice a big difference, but i haven't been able to get on a dyno since then. I am going to try to catch up with Dunbar this weekend at Diesel Mania and see what kind of power its making now. I am glad i had the work done. No P & B's or cam work, just a tweaking ;)

Do you know if they put it on a stand or what all they did to it?

98slushbox,

They put it on the flow bench to check the mods. ;)

The fuel was turned up, :D

The pump, even with the 3,000 gov spring kit, still defueled to early.

NOW- it doesn't, :--)

The truck runs better & has the fuel to burn ! ! ! :-laf

Get this----- the fuel mileage improved

My 175 pump I got in my truck now is set up for the same fuel the 215 pump I used to have in it. That was around 250 cc but the 215 pump had better power delivery. . . stronger down low, less smoke & better fuel economy. Sure miss it! I think the small pumps can make power but the drivability, EGTs & smoke control aren't as good as on the bigger pumps.
