The other day I started noticing that when the steering wheel would return to center after a turn it had a very noticeable "notchy" feel to it. I un-screwed the p/s cap and the lid blew off of it. What's causing air to get into the system. Hydro-booster maybe :( ? This morning, same thing, notchy feel in the wheel, cap blew off again, and then steers smooth as butter again. Anyone else run into this before?

I had the same problem, puking p/s fluid out the resivor. Hydro boost was the problem. Dodge wanted $612. 00 for a new one. Couldn't find a rebuilt anywhere. A member on nw bombers gave me a # for an outfit in Portland Or. that I sent mine to today for a rebuilding $178. 00

That's what gets me... I haven't lost any fluid at all. Just after turning the wheel I can feel a "notch" back and forth when the steering wheel centers itself. I can go unscrew the cap and the pressure inside the resovior blows it off. It stays on tight going down the road (knock on wood) and hasn't even worked it's way loose. I had an 1100 mile run yesterday and never felt anything at all in the wheel and there was no pressure under the cap  . I dunno, but I'm sure whatever caused it to begin with will eventually rear it's ugly head.
