Has anyone had a code P0106? (manifold absolute pressure sensor performance) My truck had this code show up today twice while hauling my trailer. I stopped and restarted the truck to clear the codes with my edge attitude and a few minutes later on the highway it appeared again. The truck would stumble once and a while. It seemed to stumble at mid to light throttle at highway speeds. I'm guessing that the afe filter oil is messing with the sensor. Where is this sensor? Can it be cleaned?

The Juice w/Attitude actually hooks into the MAP sensor..... may want to double check the connections there. The MAP sensor is located on the intake side. If you still have your installation manual, you'll find a good pic of where it's located. Hopefully your problem is nothing more than a faulty connection with the Juice.

I failed to mention that the "electronic throtle control" light also came on at the same time, but the P0106 code is the only one that shows up. It didn't come on at all today though, and I was puling a trailer around all day.

I just had this same problem tonight, exactly as you described. At first the juice with attitude seemed to completely shut off for a half second or so, made driving really rough on the neck as all the injectors shut down, and then a little later I got your exact symptoms with the same code and lightening bolt.

Well, the intermittent problem still exists as of the end of last week. I contacted Edge, they were helpful and they said that's a problem for sure and to send it in for warranty. So, with it en route to them we'll see what they have to say when it comes back. I have noticed mine happens at night time, / evening, when the air is cooling down outside.

Mike, yes I am. But, I cannot recall if the problem was there before the Edge or not. Your question makes me think it is Edge-related, but the truck does not like to run without the Edge box. I am my own warranty station.

It is set at 0 or 1, no need to be stupid with the power.

Thanks for your help. You need to do some writing for us.

Same for "Bob 4x4" and Barlow. And others...

Robert, are you having the same symptoms where the truck's power will drop out abruptly? This has been an ongoing problem for me for the last few months, as noted by the above posts. I sent my edge unit off for warranty, it came back and was good for a week and has now reverted back to this problem again. It is at the point where if I am pulling a 12,000lb trailer when this happens I almost cannot drive the truck without it ripping out the drive train. After calling Edge again they agreed to buy my system back from me (good people standing behind their product). My truck still runs fine without the Edge, even with the DPF and EGR deletes, so I plan to run without it. The '08 is for sale anyways, going back to a 12valve. Once a 12 valver, always a 12 valver :-laf

The Edge may be causing your problems, But I have seen the P0106 DTC pop-up on some stock trucks also. I can't address the Edge issues, but with the stock trucks when the MAP/Boost pressure sensor gets contaminated (stopped-up) with soot it will set this code. The "Fix" for this is to pull the MAP sensor out and clean it with brake cleaner and a light (I say "LIGHT") blast of compressed air. I also pull the EGR temperature sensor out and clean it at the same time, both the MAP sensor and the EGR temp. sensor are located in the intake air horn right behind the EGR valve on the Pick-up model. Also while your in the cleaning mode I would recommend pulling the exhaust pressure sensor out, which is located right next to the thermostat screwed in to the housing, and cleaning it too. (HEY,this sound like this would make a good article if it had some pictures to go with it)

:-laf I just need a clone to stay caught up with everything...

My edge did not hook up to the sensor. The map sensor seems to get really dirty in these trucks, I would suggest cleaning it and trying that. I cleaned mine when I did the deletes and have not had any trouble. A friends truck was doing the same thing and that fixed his(his edge did plug into the sensor).

Thanks, all for the ideas.

I cleaned the sensor, but the stumble came right back. So, for fun and amusement, I just disconnected the sensor. So far, no stumble... lots of lights on the dash (MIL and the other one), but no stumble.

help

#@$%! I did the egr delete yesterday and today the electronic throttle control light came on and went into limp dick mode. Barely made it home. The truck is all stock. I read about cleaning the map sensor but not sure where it is located. Does anyone have a diagram like the 12v on here anywhere. Also if any other ideas.
