Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) head gasket leak

While coming home today I was coasting down hill and went to accelerate and if felt like engine jerked like. I guess best way describe it was as if stabbed accelerator then had dead pedal and check engine light. Pulled over to side of road and basically did nothing not even turn engine off. Not savfe way to park so started again and engine ran normal except the engine light on. Drove a couple miles to save place and read codes had P0121 TPS signal does not correlate to MAP sensor signal; other code P0380 problem detected in #1 air heater solenoid/relay circuit(not heater element).

The code P0121 make sense with how it acted but P0380 does not. Last time I had weird codes was when I forgot and I forgot and left the battery negative connection for the Adrenaline off but was a lot more codes. I cleared codes and drove 100 miles to get home and no repeat. I am leaning toward momentary glitch of the Adrenaline module. And think nothing to worry about what does everyone else think. I have a new MAP sensor I was going to install just because have 140,000+ on this one and AIT sensor as well just because.

Thanks for any input.

I just had the same 0121 code along with some other codes (1689, 0234). The other two codes suggested that I had a bad connection between injector pump and ecm and too much boost. When I ran down the road with the scanner attached, I found out the idle valve switches wouldn't do their thing until the APPS was at about 15%. That meant that I would be doing around 30 m. p. h and my turbo would be throwing 5-6 psi of boost and my APPS was showing that I was idleing. That in turn would shut down the fuel (either by the injector pump or ecm), and trip the 1689 code. To try to shorten the story I am betting that it is originating from the APPS. I know you can go to blue chip diesel and get one for $175 ( I found that out too late. ).

Thanks since I have and new MAP here already in hand will go ahead and chance the MAP and AIT. Will wait and see if I get the codes again and if I do go with it being a bad APPS and change it.

That would be idle Validation switches ;)
