Friend got this code. We know that this code is "Injection/Injector Timing Control Circuit. " What we don't know is if that means the VP44 is gone.
Truck (01) has had Comp box on for 30 days. FP is OK. Truck has stumbled around 30mph four times in last month. No power. Suggestion was made to disconnect batteries and reset the TPS after rehooking batteries. Haven't had a chance to do that yet.
Tonite, truck wouldn't go over 10MPH after stopping for a little bit. Friend turned truck off, let it sit for 30 minutes and then drove 70 miles to home at highway speed with no problem.
I am inclined to think it's the comp box acting up or he couldn't have driven that far at speed. Do VP44's just go all at once or is it intermittent? The box will be unhooked tomorrow and we shall see how it drives, if it drives.
So the question is, could a faulty comp box throw that code or is it indeed internal to the VP44.
