Hi All,
I replaced my lift pump with a FASS pump and a new VP44 a few months ago in my 01. The truck is stock other than the FASS pump. It ran great for awhile, better fuel economy than I had seen for some time. Recently it seems to be lacking that top end power while towing. I checked the codes on the odometer and came up with P0234 and P1693. Some searches are suggesting a stuck wastegate and/or cleaning the MAP sensor connections. I'm not really sure what the wastegate is nor how to fix it. Is there an easy way to deal with the wastegate? Are there other problems that folks have had to deal with when these codes pop up?
