Any idea what this is all about?

I was driving from Leadville Colorado to Aspen Colorado and it happend at 12,000+ feet. . I had the edge ez on level 3. It was fine coming up to the summit but after coasting a bit down hill and getting ready to pass somebody I stepped on it and it sounded like it bogged a bit so I let off. Didn't step on it for a while and checked for codes later and got the P0251 code (Injection Pump Fuel Valve Feedback). Was it just getting more fuel then it could burn at that altitude? What would cause this if that wasn't it?

According to my '03 PDM:

P0251: CP3 pump regulator control

Set Condition: the ECM detects a discrepancy between the PWM supplied to the Electronic Fuel Control Actuator and the PWM returned from the Electronic Fuel Control Actuator. [PWM = pulse width modulation]

Possible Causes:

-Fuel control actuator

-Return wire open from FCA to ECM

-Supply wire open from FCA to ECM

-ECM

There are a series of 6 diagnostic tests to determine which of these is the problem. My first inclination is to blame the Edge device, but that's easy for me to say since I don't have a box on my truck! ;)
