Not long ago I had DEF level fault that forced me to visit the dealer. Now it’s another code P0299 for underboost. I’m not impressed at all. Did I get a Monday/Friday truck or just unlucky? The crappy part is my EcoDiesel is waiting on parts and is not drivable and my 03 is snowed in.

Anyone have this code before and what was the solution?

Factory filter. Still original. I plan to buy a new Ram one soon. It’s a real pain to remove. Engineers dropped the ball on that design.

The new trucks are fussy with filtration, I believe you will want the air filter with the “AB” prefix. How many miles on your current filter?

Agree, with the “ram air” setup they catch a lot of cool outside air, but that comes with everything else in the air too. If that does not fix it, off to the dealer. There’s been tons of engine calibration revisions to deal with that specific code, yours may need it.

CAC Pipe from turbo to Intercooler rubbed through from battery cable…. They’ve ordered the pipe. Truck had fuel efficiency decrease I guess that explains it. So much fun…

Good to hear they found the solution, did you notice a whistle or any other noise?
