I know I need to update my signature, but I have an 05 2500 4x4 quad cab long bed, G56, mostly stock truck, aftermarket air filter, BD X-monitor and cool down timer, with 152K miles on it.
About a week ago I started getting an intermittent hiccup during acceleration. It would happen in second or third gear during acceleration and never while I was watching the gauges. It feels like I pushed the clutch in and out real quick and then it grabs again, this is without me touching the clutch. Then check engine light came on and I got a P0341 code. Two days ago, I also got a P0340 code after a larger hiccup and I notice that the RPMs jumped up about 200 RMP during hiccup. I replaced the CMP sensor last night and am still having the same issues and the P0341 code is still registering after each hiccup. Drove about 300 miles tonight and it happened 5 times during the trip, even in 5th & 6th gear.
Has anyone experienced similar issues or have some suggestions for me? I've read many posts about the P0341 code but most talk about a rough idle and white smoke when cold, I don't have any of these symptoms, just the hiccup during acceleration. I just don't want it to turn into a bigger issue. I have looked for cracks or damage in the wiring but haven't found any. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Dan

Your not going to like this, but I have seen a handful of trucks over the years that kept throwing a cam code. They were mostly manual transmission trucks. The ultimate fix was a camshaft. Obviously check the wiring, or replace the sensor wiring and the sensor first, but you may end up with a cam. The really strange part is when you inspect the cam gear and cam you will not see anything unusual.
