P0480- Cooling fan

Been noticing my A/C ain't so cool lately but the engine is cool (200) as usual. While I was under the truck recently, I saw the green wire I had forgotten about. Now it seems to be getting worse- these things just don't go away! Anyhow, as soon as I touch it, it broke- and all green inside. Figure I'd turn the key and I have P0480 I had no MIL on. Since the wire is on the clutch side, not the vehicle side, I'd skin back the sheathing and do a splice with heatshrink. It's the orange wire for fan speed.

I'll be driving in heat this weekend, will update with the results.

How do you clear codes on the dash- Can it be done?

The code will clear by itself after 9~10 starts without the issue reoccurring.
