I got these codes recently:
P0222 IDLE VALIDATION SIGNALS BOTH LOW
P0121-ACCELERATOR PEDAL POSITION SENSOR VOLTS DO NOT AGREE W/IDLE VALID SIGNAL
P0606 ECM FAILURE
P0230 TRANSFER PUMP CIRCUIT OUT OF RANGE
P0234 TURBO BOOST LIMIT EXCEEDED
P0122- APPS SIGNAL VOLTAGE
APPS SIGNAL VOLTAGE TOO LOW
P1693-
P1693 - DTC Detected In Companion Module
P1693 - DTC Detected In PCM

What I am experiencing is dead pedal. My wife was driving and started getting a surging throttle and then no throttle (dead pedal) You could turn it off and on again and it would start with no problems but there was no throttle. I read all these codes and cleared them - then started the truck again and it surged up to about 3k RPM's before dropping back to idle and then had no throttle response again. I checked codes again and got P1693; P0122; P0121 again.

I have experienced almost this EXACT thing back in '08 and ended up replacing the ECM and have had no issues since. The "P0606 ECM FAILURE" tells me that it's my rebuilt ECM again......BUT - I did just replace the APPS about a month ago with the one from Geno's Garage. I had been experiencing an intermittent dead pedal for a few brief seconds upon deceleration - and then it was very intermittent and then it would always work fine when it did come back. Well I decided to to ahead and replace the APPS and now this.

My question is this: Is that P606 code and dead giveaway for the ECM, or is it possible the APPS can be at fault here?

I have searched on here and cannot find if and/or where I listed the actual codes I pulled back in '08 unfortunately. I do remember something about 5v issues the last time....but obviously am having none of those codes now.
TIA
Nate

Start with the grounds, clean and tighten. Next make sure all connections are clean and tight. I was having trouble with my 5v supply to map and oil pressure sensor. Turned out to be a dirty loose connection to map sensor. Also check the 50 pin connector to the ECM they have been known to loosen a little. I would get a can of electrical cleaner and pull connectors apart clean and make sure all are tight. Also unplug the tuner and go back to stock settings. Sometimes a tuner can cause the problem.

Everything is good and tight.I pulled the ECM today and sprayed QD electrical connector cleaner. I put it all back together and I have the same issue with these codes:

P0121-ACCELERATOR PEDAL POSITION SENSOR VOLTS DO NOT AGREE W/IDLE VALID SIGNAL
P0606-ECM FAILURE
and the P1693

I'm thinking its definitely the ECM npw, but was wondering if my new APPS from Geno's garage could have something to do with it?
