help truck throwing codes

On the way home from work today I was going up a hill and tried to shift from 4th-5th in my automatic and it was stuck in 4th. I couldn't shift up or down. After a while I pulled over and shut the truck off and restarted it and took off just fine.

I then shifted down from 6th-5th and it felt like it locked up for a second very hard. Shifted back to 6th and it locked up again and then went to 4th gear where it was stuck again. This time it put me in limp mode with a MIL P0700.

Once I got home I checked the transmission oil and it was at the proper level and looked fine.

Gotta have the truck for work. So I don't want to take it to the dealer til Friday afternoon. Any suggestions?

Today I still had the same problem. At work though I never get out of 2nd gear hardly and I found that it works just fine in gears 1-3, but on the way home I went to go from 3rd-4th and that was it. Stuck in 4th and back in limp mode. After work tomorrow its going to the shop.

After a week at the dealer I finally got my truck back. I hope that this isn't a yearly problem. They did recall H46, whatever that is, and had to replace my trans shifter cable. I also had codes P1776, P1775, P0841, and P0868. They said that they found the toque converter was hot and the pan was full of debri. The OD & Low reverse clutches were burned. So it took them a whole week to rebuild my trans. Kind of dissappointed in the service. My next truck I'm going to buy with the business link deal and then I won't be stranded.

Was this covered under warranty? I would think they would have replaced rather than rebuild if still under warranty. How many miles and what kind of work do you do with it?

It doesn't even have 20,000 miles on it. It was under warranty. They rebuilt it and had to wait for a couple parts to come out of Colorado. I have a mobile welding business and tow a bumper pull trailer that ways maybe 5,000 lbs. I always have the exhaust brake on and I'm in tow haul most of the time. I'm always on a mine site where the traffic is slow and there is lots of mud.
