Seriously its nuthing to worry bout... ... it set that code when I purposely ran without a boost module for a while. It means a code was set in the PCM and the ECM.



If you know someone with Insite hook it up ;)
 
I have my own software. Just curious if there is a known cause. I have had the over boost code before. I took care of that with dielectric grease.



I wonder if its not caused by fueling beyond 2700 rpm. :confused:
 
A faulty MAP sensor can cause that code to keep popping up. Had it happen to me. You'll need a 1 1/4" deepwell socket to remove it, and replace with a new one. How clever of Cummins to make it one size larger than Sears Craftsman has available at the store. :-laf
 
The 1693 code is set when there is a lack of communication between the ECM and the PCM. It seems to pop up just about any time that another code is set.
